You might have heard something somewhere about this little movie called The Dark Knight that’s opening next weekend. Don’t worry if you haven’t because it hasn’t gotten that much hype, so to help you out, here are a few clips of some dude named Heath Ledger playing something called The Joker. From what I can tell, he plays a clown. Everybody loves clowns!

Quentin Tarantino’s long-waited script for his WWII action drama, Inglorious Bastards, was finally sent out to four major Hollywood studios yesterday. The script, which was originally slated to be an actual movie by 2001, is about a band of US soldiers who face death by firing squad but are given reprieve once they accept a suicide mission in Nazi-occupied France. Now, a day later, Tarantino is in talks with Brad Pitt for the lead role. Nikki Finke says:

I’ve confirmed Quentin Tarantino is talking to Brad Pitt to star in Inglorious Bastards, the writer/director’s newly unveiled script being shopped right now to 4 Hollywood studios: Universal, Warner Bros, Paramount and Sony. And Harvey Weinstein will produce it with Lawrence Bender.

Pitt was great in True Romance, so I’m sure he’ll be good in this. I’m just more concerned about how Tarantino pulls this off. I mean, it’s set in WWII. I guess the soldiers find a time machine at some point, so they can come back and talk about 70’s kung fu movies and fucking black chicks.

Tarantino is also reportedly remaking the cult classic, Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, with the insanely hot, Tera Patrick. Hey, look! Boobs!:

I’m not gonna lie, I can’t wait to see this movie. Robert Downey, Jr. pretty much kicks ass in everything, but now he gets to to do it in a flying armored suit that can blow up tanks. Advantage: flying armored suit.

In screenwriter Diablo Cody’s followup to the smash indie hit, Juno, Megan Fox will play a zombie cheerleader in the horror/comedy, Jennifer’s Body. You had me at Megan Fox and zombie.

In the film, Fox will play Jennifer, a hot cheerleader who becomes possessed by a demon and begins feeding off the boys in her local town. Her “plain Jane” best friend must find a way to kill her, then escape from a correctional facility and go after the Satan-worshipping band that is responsible for the transformation in the first place.

Megan Fox can get away with being a zombie cannibal, because hot chicks can pretty much get away with anything. If Megan Fox ran over my parents, I’d give her a back massage to calm her nerves.

Actor and Academy Award nominee, Heath Ledger was found dead at his Manhattan home Tuesday morning. Details are sketchy thus far and no cause of death has been announced, but drugs are believed to be a factor.

He was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3:35 PM ET today. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe it was not a crime, adding that prescription pills were found near his body.

According to NYPD a masseuse arrived at Ledger’s apartment and was let in by a housekeeper. When Ledger didn’t answer his bedroom door, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened it and found him unconscious. They attempted to wake him; when they couldn’t, they called 911. (source)

Leger had recently filmed The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins, in which he played the Joker. Initially he had trouble with the role and worked with director Christopher Nolan to achieve the psychopathic mentality of the frenetic Joker. (From Wikipedi so take it as you will)

To prepare for the role he lived alone in a hotel room for a month, formulating the character’s posture, voice and psychology. While he initially found it difficult, Ledger was eventually able to generate a voice which did not sound like Jack Nicholson’s take on the character in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman film.He started a diary, in which he wrote the Joker’s thoughts and feelings to guide himself during his performance. He was also given Batman: The Killing Joke and Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth to read, which he “really tried to read and put it down”.Ledger also cited inspiration in A Clockwork Orange and Sid Vicious. Ultimately, “there’s nothing that [is] consistent”, as his main objective was to frighten the audience.The challenge of the role put a strain on Ledger’s sleep patterns, finding himself unable to rest for more than a few hours each night.(source)
